    This is a Great, Rare, Early 1917 "Headquarters Eighth Coast Defense Command - N.Y. Coast Artillery, NG" military correspondence letter
    . This wonderful Old piece has a Great, Early look, was Hand-Signed/Autograph by an unknown Colonel & General Louis Stotesbury, measures approx. 8" x 10.5",
    is an Original, Vintage piece, from the World War I era, and Rare to Find.
    Washington Greys
    : The 8th New York Infantry, also known as the "Washington Greys", was stationed out of New York City and served in the Civil War and Spanish-American War. During WWI, they became the 8th Coast Defense Command and protected NYC's harbors, as part of the US Army Coastal Artillery Corps.
    This appears to be in Very Good, Solid condition.
