This is a Great, Rare, Early 1917 "Hamilton's Detective Agency" military correspondence letter
. This wonderful Old piece has a Great, Early look, is offering the services of the agency to track down Deserters of the 8th
NY Coast Defense Command,
measures approx. 8.5" x 11",
is an Original, Vintage piece, from the World War I era, and Rare to Find.
Washington Greys
: The 8th New York Infantry, also known as the "Washington Greys", was stationed out of New York City and served in the Civil War and Spanish-American War. During WWI, they became the 8th Coast Defense Command and protected NYC's harbors, as part of the US Army Coastal Artillery Corps.
This appears to be in Very Good, Solid condition.
