    The Investigative Police of Peru (today a member of the National Police) was the Corps of Detectives and Investigative Assistants (Civil Police or Secret Police) whose mission was: Investigation of crimes, security of officials and support to the work of justice.
    Officially created in 1922, it was of a technical and scientific nature and it was the main police institution in the country that carried out work in criminal investigation, its motto was Honor and Loyalty and it depended on the Ministry of the Interior.
