  • Condition: There is a chip about 1" long underside the rim of the lid. Repair was done to replace the lid handle which also has a 1/4" chip. Uniform crazing throughout the entire piece which may have been intentional. Crazing on interior of bowl.

    Musee Des Arts Deckratifs
    creamware ceramic tureen.
    Exact in every detail, this remarkable reproduction is made from molds taken from the antique original in the Muse des Arts Decoratifs of The Louvre collection in
    Paris
    .
    The tureen lid and pot are decorated with embossed neoclassical motifs with the profile head of a spaniel or fox as the handles. Makes for a beautiful unique centerpiece for your table or collection.
    Marked Mottahedeh and a hand etched symbol on both lid and tureen.
