Here we have a rare, collectible,
vintage pin / brooch
handmade by respected Canadian modernist silversmith
Bob Ford
, one of the founders of the Ontario Metal Arts Guild in 1946. Measuring approximately 22mm in length and width, the pin is in the form of the
Expo 67 "Centennial Logo"
, the famous maple leaf shape divided into eleven equal triangles, representing the ten provinces and the Northwest Territories that made up Canada when it turned 100 years old back in 1967. On the back, the pin is marked "
Hand Made
", "
Bob Ford
", "
Canada
", and is stamped with the number
3
. It does not have any silver marks, so is being sold as "
white metal
". The brooch, pin and "C" clasp are all in very good working condition, with some minor tarnishing. Please see photos for details.
